Benson Boone has confirmed that his Birmingham show has been rescheduled after a last-minute cancellation due to throat problems.

The Grammy-nominated singer shared the news on Instagram, saying that he and his team worked hard to avoid canceling the show. He also thanked fans for waiting and promised the rescheduled concert would be worth it.

The American Heart World Tour stop at Utilita Arena Birmingham was originally planned for last November. However, Boone had to cancel the performance at the last minute because of throat issues. Fans were disappointed, but Boone reassured them that the show would return.

In his Instagram post, Boone said, “Every option lead to cancelling but I didn’t want to accept that.” He added that he was “very, very excited” to confirm the new date. The show is now set for March 15, and the poster he shared noted that all original tickets remain valid.

Boone’s statement on Instagram included a heartfelt message to his Birmingham fans. He wrote, “Thank you for your patience while we've tried to sort this show.”

Boone is currently on his American Heart World Tour, which has been praised for its energy and showmanship. The European leg of the tour has been especially impressive, with major shows including three sold-out nights at the O2 Arena in London.

Benson Boone is not only returning to Birmingham, but he also has other tour dates coming up. One major upcoming show is part of the BAHC Live! concert series in San Francisco on Feb. 5, during Super Bowl LX week. He will perform at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium with special guest Shaboozey.

The “Beautiful Things” singer’s latest album, American Heart, was released last June. It features popular singles like “Momma Song,” “Mystical Magical” and “Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else.”
