Time flies when you’re being bad, and somehow, we’ve reached the penultimate episode of House of Villains Season 3. Next week, someone will walk away from this ridiculous show $200,000 richer.

When we last left off, Kate’s two-week reign as the Supervillain reached its climax when the vote between Christine and Tom ended in a tie. She had the deciding vote, and naturally, the producers left us on a cliffhanger. In House of Villains Season 3 Episode 9, “Requiem for a Supervillain,” we finally saw her decision.

Kate wrapped up her time as Supervillain by casting the tie-breaking vote. She sent another villain packing without breaking a sweat, and she might have finally cracked a smile, too.

Then, the six remaining villains jumped into one of the grossest Battle Royale Challenges yet, and an unlikely contender finally got a taste of power. It all came just in the nick of time because the endgame draws near. There’s only room for five villains in the finale, and there’s definitely not enough space for the bromance.

Who did Kate decide to banish?

Shocking absolutely no one, Kate decided to banish Sandoval from House of Villains. The Vanderpump Rules alum became the latest casualty in reality TV’s goofiest game, but the writing was on the wall with this one.

Tom spent most of the season riding Tyson’s coattails, pretending like there was a slight chance he’d pull the trigger and flip on his bromance. It never happened, and that envelope controversy completely tanked his credibility with Kate. She’d be dumb to let the bromance move forward in the game, and we know that woman is far from dumb.

“Tom, you say that you’ve been trying so hard and putting your all into this game, and you’ve proven that,” Kate told him.

“But even when you do your best, my bare minimum still beats you,” she quipped, before pushing that big red button.

With that, Sandoval is out of the game, and Tyson was left without his number one guy in the group. It’s going to be a lonely night in the superbed.

Spitting venom and seeking revenge

Of course, Tyson did not handle Tom’s banishment well. He lost his bestie, and now his alliance has also completely fallen apart. New York is his only remaining ally, and it’s not like she’s necessarily good at this game. With all of that in mind, Tyson vowed to get revenge on the house, but this week’s Battle Royale Challenge made that easier said than done.

Appropriately titled “Spitting Venom,” it was perhaps the grossest thing they’ve done on this show thus far. That says a lot, considering just a few episodes ago, they were chowing down on dozens of hornworms.

The rules were simple and disgusting: chug neon-colored water, sprint across a foam pit, and spit the water into a cup. Each villain had a cup with their name on it, and getting your cup filled with spit and backwash meant you were out of the game. The last villain standing would become the Supervillain.

Unfortunately for Tyson, the format worked perfectly against him. Everyone quickly started targeting him, filling his cup within a few minutes. He called it a flaw in the design. We think it was working exactly as intended.

Drita spiraled, and Christine spat her way to the top

Tyson was the first villain kicked out of the game, and Kate was a fast follow. With both of those power players out of the game, Drita, Paul, and Christine teamed up to target New York. After all, she has fully embraced her role as Tyson’s backup bestie,

Once she was out, that’s when things started getting weird. Drita had barely any liquid in her cup and was cruising toward an easy win—until Christine and Paul decided to “even things out” by turning on her.

Already emotional from missing her daughter’s high school graduation, Drita was not in the mood for this. Watching her shot at power get rinsed away by neon-colored backwash pushed her towards a full-blown, Mob Wives meltdown.

Somehow, Christine managed to pull off the win, becoming the Supervillain of the Week and sending Drita even further into a spiral. The fact that Christine now has a win while New York is still sitting at zero after three seasons? Honestly, kind of iconic.

Christine got a taste of power

Christine has been 100% clueless throughout the entire game, but this little bit of power arrived at the perfect time. With no Redemption Challenge and only two Hit List spots, she earned a spot in the finale and gets to pick a couple of people who are coming with her.

Of course, the obvious choice for the Hit List would be nominating Tyson and New York. Tyson has been cranky, manipulative, and turning the thermostat up in the middle of the night. New York is trying to ride behind him to the finish line.

Is it time to fully take away Tyson’s power? Should she torment Drita even further and add her to the Hit List? Does Christine even know that she has the power to nominate two people?

At the Stronghold, the Selling Sunset star made her move. She decided to turn the power dynamic upside down, and she got a little revenge of her own, too. She nominated Kate and Tyson for the Hit List, and Joel gave them 30 minutes to go back to the lair and plead their cases.

Who’s headed to the House of Villains Season 3 finale?

After a season full of cliffhangers, there was a strong assumption that this episode would end with another tease. Thankfully, it did not, and they revealed at the end of the episode that Tyson got banished in a surprising, unanimous vote. He did not outwist, outlast, or outplay.

So, where did these votes come from? Obviously, Drita had been itching for this moment for a while, and it was also a no-brainer for Paul. The surprising third vote came from New York, who explained that she switched up on Tyson because actions speak louder than words. Kate never put New York on the Hit List. Tyson did.

With that, the bromance has officially been killed off, and we’ve got our five final villains headed into the finale: Drita, New York, Paul, Christine, and Kate. Tune in next week to see who takes home the $200,000.

House of Villains Season 3 finale airs on April 16 at 9/8c on Peacock.
