The news came amid the speculations about the Duchess of Sussex and the Duke of Sussex’s upcoming visit to the UK. The couple and their kids currently reside in a sixteen-bedroom property in Montecito, California. However, they have allegedly been exploring other homes.

Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, have reportedly been looking for a second house. As reported by Star magazine, a source told them that the Duchess of Sussex wishes to have a new base in California, so that she can have easier access to the Hollywood industry. The locations that the Sussex couple have allegedly been considering for their second home include places “closer to Los Angeles.”

An insider said to the news outlet that the Sussexes took this decision “after lengthy drives from their Montecito residence.” In the meantime, Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, purchased their current Montecito house back in 2020, when they left their royal lives behind in the UK and moved to the US.

According to the news outlet, a source described the couple’s Montecito home “as more of a vacation enclave than a networking hub for Hollywood.” Meanwhile, the insider told the news outlet that Meghan Markle wishes to have “closer ties to the social scene and is weighing Brentwood, Bel Air, Malibu, or Calabasas,” after she and her husband reportedly split from Netflix.

In the meantime, as reported by the news outlet, the insider also claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s “finances limit running two large households.” “Calabasas could place them near Kris Jenner,” the source also noted to the news outlet.
