There might not be many things that Steven Spielberg and Kylie Jenner have in common (unless Spielberg has a cosmetics line coming out soon).

But in a recent interview with Empire, the iconic filmmaker and blockbuster master revealed one thing they do share, and that's an appreciation for Denis Villeneuve's film adaptations of Dune.

"I've loved the Dune movies. They are among my favourite science-fiction movies, not just recently, but of all time," the Disclosure Day director said for his cover story with the mag. "I think [Part Two] is the best movie Denis has ever made. I cannot wait to see the third one. I'm sure he'll show it to me early. I'm such a fan of his."

Spielberg also complimented the four-time Oscar nominee on his approach to bringing Frank Herbert's book series to life, saying "I love the [Dune] books, and I just think his tribute to the books is like Guillermo [del Toro]’s tribute to Mary Shelley with Frankenstein: he honoured Mary Shelley as I think Denis honoured Frank Herbert."

Villeneuve's Dune series features Timothee Chalamet as the film's protagonist, Paul Atreides, in the 2021 epic and its 2024 sequel. Chalamet will reprise his role for Dune: Part Three and be joined by a star-studded cast that includes Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Robert Pattinson, Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem, Anya Taylor-Joy, Josh Brolin and Jason Momoa.

Chalamet's girlfriend Jenner recently expressed her love for the sci-fi franchise, sharing in an interview on the podcast Big Bro with Kid Cudi that she is a fan of "the Dunes."

“I really love the Dunes,” she told host Kid Cudi, who agreed that "the Dunes are strong."

The first teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated Dune: Part Three showed an aged-up Chalamet, as the latest installment takes place 17 years after the events of 2024's Dune: Part Two.

Along with a glimpse of returning characters Chani (Zendaya), wife Princess Irulan (Pugh), sister Alia (Taylor-Joy), general and friend Stilgar (Bardem), mother Lady Jessica (Ferguson), the teaser also revealed the return of Paul's best friend and protector, Duncan Idaho (Momoa), who was killed in the first film.

Dune 3 hits theaters on Dec. 18.
