As the world mourns the tragic and sudden deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer, fans in Los Angeles gathered at the filmmaker's star in Hollywood to pay tribute to the acclaimed director and actor.
"It's sad to see them go so suddenly," director Beau Hoffman said at the location. "I feel bad for all of his family, his supporters, his friends."
The Hollywood Walk of Fame, in a Dec. 15 post on Instagram, had announced flowers for Reiner would be placed on his star at 6421 Hollywood Boulevard at 1 p.m. local time.
Flowers and a note reading 'rip meathead' are placed at Rob Reiner's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after the actor-director and political activist and his wife were found dead, in Los Angeles on December 15, 2025.
"The Hollywood community extends its sympathy to the Reiner family," the organization said, adding the flowers would be placed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and are sponsored by the Hollywood Historic Trust.
Reiner, who produced a string of acclaimed films, including "Stand by Me," "When Harry Met Sally," and "A Few Good Men," among others, was awarded a star back in October 1999, according to the Walk of Fame website.

What happened to Rob Reiner?
Reiner, 78, and Singer, 68, were found stabbed to death at their home in Brentwood on the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 14.
An initial investigation determined that the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, "was responsible" for their deaths, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release on Dec. 15. Nick Reiner has been booked for murder without bail. His case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for consideration of filing on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
